iCORE Discipleship Summit in an effort at multiplying disciples by sensitizing urban dwellers and ministries of the dire necessity for evangelism in general and Rural Redemptive Evangelism in particular. It is also aimed at developing disciples to become disciple makers and to restore to the Church the biblical idea of spiritual parenting aimed at realizing an intentional focus on individual convert than the general practices one-fit-all approach.
The conference is planned along the threefold idea of Evangelism, Discipleship and Leadership development especially in these core areas. We utilize worship, seminars/workshop and practical outreaches to realize our goal. Every participant is given an opportunity to reach out to the community personally during the summit; we also create time for a mass evangelistic crusade tagged U-turn Gospel. The U-turn Gospel Crusade is unique in its approach as it hits the street with music. Christian musicians give out their time and present their songs at this stage of Evangelism.
While the musicians take their turn, the ministers relate to the people one on one
telling them about Jesus. U-turn climaxed when an Evangelist mounts the stage to share the gospel and make an evangelistic appeal. The musicians continue after the Word while the souls are attended to by trained disciplers. It is always a rewarding experience.
The Discipleship summit moves from city to city annually carrying with her the result of the previous year and seeking to ground them in the process.
During this summit also, prominent Christians who have made investment in propagating the Gospel or in church planting are recognized and honored. This bid is to encourage them in their work for the Lord and motivate others to get involved. In partnership with relevant ministries associated in this project, ordination and licensing is done during the summit as we commend the saints to service of the Lord and commission the leadership.
